Subject Boy, streetscape, window, car, road
Subject Palestinian protest, Middle Eastern conflict, political protest
Description The front cover is taken from a newspaper wire service black and white photo of a Palestinian boy, dressed in army fatigues and traditional Arabic headwear. He is giving the V for victory or peace sign with his right hand. The image is pixelated and possibly degenerated using a photocopier. The bright sunlit background to the image is in stark contrast to the shadowy light that the boy is in. [DM]
The songs on this record are concerned with power and political struggles although they are not specifically related to the Palestinian conflict depicted on the cover. [DM]
Description The back cover is also a wire service black and white photograph showing from afar the Israeli army shelling a border town sometime during the 1980's. The bottom fifth of the cover consists of a solid white area which allows for the corporate logo of the record label to be positioned on the right hand side. The typewriter font used to describe track listing and credit information is typical of many xpressway releases, and reflects the photojournalism theme used in the imagery. [DM]
