The pattern was drawn directly onto the screen with a greasy crayon, then hand-printed. More crayon was added and then printed in another colour. So the colours are layered on top of each other.

Description The patterns were gathered while researching Tapa (a cloth made from the bark of the paper mulberry tree ) making in the Pacific. Jean has an interest in Pitcairn Is. as her Grandmother was born there.
