Description Cover. Image and text. The only text on the cover of this Christmas card reads; 'Fiji on the Teal Coral Route'. The black and white illustration is centred in the middle of the card. The illustration is of a tropical beach scene. The left of the illustration is taken up with the sea and there are waves lapping on the shore. Towards the horizon a small sail boat is visible. To the right of the boat a line of palm trees begins, the trees gradually getting larger as they approach the foreground of the image. To the right of the trees, on the horizon, is a large hill that runs down to the shore line. The beach in front of the hill spreads forward to the front of the image. There are other smaller hills that run onto the beach on the right side of the image. In the midst of these are a couple of small huts. There is a small figure on the beach holding a fishing rod in one hand and a fish in the other. In the very foreground of the image is a group of shells. The complete image is an oval shape. The text runs directly under the illustration. [AAF]
Description Card inner. Image and text. In the top left corner of the card is some poetry by Rupert Brooke. Underneath the words 'Rupert Brooke' is a small illustration of a woman in indigenous clothing. To the right of the woman and centred across the middle of the card are the words; 'A very merry Christmas and a happy New Year'. [AAF]
The illustration of the woman nas also been used on the cover of the ticket folder designed by Clark. (nzgda_dp_nc_i_120).
